Definition
A Level 1 self-assessment is the activity in which a supplier evaluates its own information systems against the fifteen Level 1 security requirements, records the result, and submits it in SPRS. No third-party assessor is involved.
You assess yourself. This is what makes Level 1 different from Level 2, where a third-party assessor may be required.
